This is a brand new aftermarket 2-position ignition key switch, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Can-Am DS 70 2x4 and DS 90 4-Stroke youth ATVs. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: it mounts in the original location and mates with the machine's existing plug, so there is no cutting, splicing or modification of the wiring loom. Two keys are supplied with every switch and the connectors are included.
The switch operates over two positions, off and on. It carries four wires on a 330 mm lead terminating in a single plug, and the body measures 29 mm high by 46.5 mm long by 29 mm wide. It replaces Can-Am part numbers V35100DGF010 and V35100DGF010LL. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

How do I know my old key switch has failed?
Typical symptoms are a quad that will not power up when the key is turned to on, power that cuts out intermittently when the key or the wiring behind it is moved, a barrel that turns without engaging a position, or corroded and heat-damaged terminals at the plug. A continuity check across the switch terminals in the off and on positions will confirm whether the switch itself is passing current.
Are the keys coded to my existing ignition key?
No. This is an aftermarket switch supplied with its own two keys, so it is not cut to your original key code. You will use the keys that come with the switch.
