A brand new two-position ignition key switch, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to Honda TRX 350, TRX 400 and TRX 420 Rancher, TRX 450 and TRX 500 Fourtrax Foreman, and TRX 500 Rubicon quads built between 1998 and 2024. The switch is plug-and-play and fits directly in place of the original, so no rewiring, splicing or drilling is required to install it. Our part number for this unit is RM05025.
The switch has two positions, off and on, and runs four wires into four terminals through a single plug, with a wire length of 630 mm. Two keys and the matching connector are supplied in the box, so the switch can be fitted and the machine started without sourcing anything else. Every unit is tested before it leaves us. How do I know my old ignition switch has failed?
Typical signs are a machine that will not power up at all when the key is turned to the on position, power that cuts out intermittently when the key or the harness is moved, a key that turns but does not click positively between positions, or corroded and discoloured terminals at the switch plug. A continuity check across the switch terminals in the off and on positions will confirm whether the switch is passing current.
