This is a brand new aftermarket two position ignition key switch, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Suzuki QuadSport 90 LT-Z90. The switch has two positions, off and on, and two wires running to a single plug. It is the part that feeds the ignition circuit when the key is turned, and on a youth quad it is one of the components that takes the most abuse from mud, pressure washing and the odd tip-over.
Installation is plug-and-play and requires no changes to the loom. The barrel drops into the original mounting hole and the supplied connector mates with the existing harness, so there is no splicing, no soldering and no drilling. Two keys are supplied with the switch. If the quad has become unreliable on the key - dead one moment, alive the next when the bars are moved - the ignition switch is the first thing to check after the battery and the main fuse.

Look for no power at all when the key is turned on, power that comes and goes as the key or the loom is moved, a machine that cuts out over bumps, or a barrel so worn that the key spins without engaging. Check the battery and the main fuse first, then measure continuity across the two switch wires with the key on.
Will my old Suzuki key work in this switch?
No. This is a new barrel and it comes with its own pair of keys, which are the ones that will operate it. Keep both keys with the machine and store the spare somewhere safe.
