This is a brand new aftermarket two position ignition key switch built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda TRX 300 EX Sportrax and the TRX 300 X. The switch carries two positions, off and on, and is the component that feeds power to the ignition circuit when the key is turned. Do I need to re-use my original key?
No. Two new keys are supplied with the switch and they are cut to this barrel. Your original Honda key will not turn this new switch, so keep the new keys with the machine and store the spare somewhere safe.
