How do I know my old key switch has failed?

Flickering continuity, a switch that only works at a certain key angle, or a barrel that binds all indicate a worn unit.
Will the new keys work in my other locks?
No. The switch comes with its own pair of keys cut to the new barrel, so it will not match a fuel cap or storage lock keyed to your original ignition. Keep the second key somewhere safe as a spare.
