How do I know the old switch is the fault?
Look for a quad that will not power up at all with the key turned on, power that drops out when the key or the harness is disturbed, a barrel that spins without a positive click between off and on, or corroded terminals in the switch plug. A continuity test across the terminals in both positions will show whether the switch is still passing current or has gone open circuit.
How long are the wires?
