A brand new aftermarket AC to DC 40W stator and voltage regulator rectifier kit, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda CRF 250 X. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so installation is straightforward, and the stator is built on the highest grade of lamination materials. Lightweight LED lighting has made night riding far easier, but most motorcycle electrical systems simply do not produce enough power to run it. This RMSTATOR kit provides a stator with the higher power output needed to make starting easier and to run auxiliary lights and other accessories. It is designed to work with a DC system: the parts have built-in relays that energise the switched 12 V DC output line only when the motor is running, and an adjustable shut-off delay turns the lights off automatically afterwards, so a forgotten light switch can no longer flatten the battery.

With the engine off and the connectors unplugged, measure the resistance figures listed in the specification table above: 0.5 ohms +/- 20% between the yellow alternator wires, 267 ohms +/- 20% across the pickup, and 24 ohms +/- 20% across the source coil. A reading well outside those values, or continuity to the stator body, points to a failed winding.
