This is a brand new aftermarket 50W lighting stator, built as a direct replacement for the original lighting coil fitted to the KTM 250 SX-F, 400 SX, 450 SMR, SXS and XC, 520 and 525 SX, and to the Husaberg FC 450 and FC 550, from 2000 to 2010. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part, so the standard loom does not need to be cut, spliced or modified to install it.
The stator is a compact six-pole unit rated at 50 watts, wound with the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade of lamination materials. It is supplied with its connector and rubber grommet already fitted. An additional opposite connector for the main harness side is also included in the box, because on competition machines of this age those plugs are often melted, corroded or defective, and renewing both halves of the joint at once is the only reliable way to restore a clean connection.

Does fitting this stator need any wiring modification?
No. It is a direct fit, plug-and-play replacement with the same three-wire, three-pin arrangement as the original lighting coil, so it connects to the standard loom as it comes.
What is included in the box?
The 50W lighting stator with its connector and rubber grommet fitted, plus an additional opposite connector for the main harness side.
How do I know the old lighting stator has failed?
Disconnect the plug and measure between the black/red and white/red wires. The reading should be very low, around 0.02 ohms within 20%. Measuring from either wire to the stator body or engine earth should give O.L, an open line. Continuity to earth, or an open circuit between the two wires, means the coil has failed. Lights that will not come on, or that flicker and dim as the revs change, are the usual first sign.
How much power does this stator produce?
It is rated at 50 watts, produced by a six-pole winding, which is the same output as the original lighting stator for these models.
