12-Volt 75 Amp - Volvo Penta 3.0GLM to 8.1 OSi and IPS500G
This alternator is built to OEM specifications as a direct fit-and-function replacement for Volvo Penta marine petrol engines from 2000 to 2007, covering the 3.0GLM and 3.0GLP four-cylinder units through to the 4.3, 5.0, 5.7 and 8.1 litre V-engines and the IPS500G. It mounts onto the original brackets using the factory 6-groove pulley.
It is a 12-volt, 75-amp unit with an internal regulator (IR) at the 3 o'clock clock position and an internal fan (IF), fitted with a 6-groove pulley and the factory L-D (light-dummy) plug, with the P-terminal spade covered by a plastic cap as standard. It is negative earth and uses unthreaded mounting holes with a 50.9mm ear thickness. Fitting follows the same steps as removing and refitting the original unit, using a standard socket set - no special tools or wiring changes are needed.
