This alternator is built to OEM specifications as a direct fit-and-function replacement for Volvo Penta 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L GM-based marine engines. It mounts onto the original bracket using the factory single-groove pulley.
It is a 12-volt, 65-amp clockwise-rotation unit with an internal regulator (IR) at the 2 o'clock clock position and an internal fan (IF), fitted with a 1-V pulley (73mm OD), an M8 x 1.25 B+ post, S and L spade terminals and the factory L-D (light-dummy) plug wiring. It is negative earth and uses one 5/16-18 threaded mounting hole and one unthreaded hole. Fitting follows the same steps as removing and refitting the original unit, using a standard socket set - no special tools or wiring changes are needed.
