Stator with Pickup Coil for Arctic Cat 90
Arctic Cat 90, Alterra 90, DVX 90 and 90 Utility - 2006-2024
This is a brand new stator for the Arctic Cat 90 family, covering the Alterra 90, the DVX 90 and the 90 Utility, supplied as a direct replacement to your original unit. It is plug-and-play, so it seats on the original mounting behind the flywheel and connects to the existing harness with no cutting or splicing. Part number RM01287.
The assembly is supplied complete with the pickup pulsar coil already fitted, along with the connector and the rubber grommet, so you renew both the charging winding and the ignition trigger in one job. It is built on the highest grade lamination materials with copper windings rated to 200 degrees Celsius. The stator measures 87 mm across the exterior diameter with a 28 mm interior diameter and an 8 mm thickness. Three wires run 112 mm from the stator to the grommet and a further 325 mm from the grommet to the plug, with the pickup coil lead running 25 mm to the grommet. The alternator winding reads 0.4 ohms +/- 20 per cent yellow to white and the pickup coil reads 110 ohms +/- 20 per cent blue/yellow to ground. Every unit is tested before shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original Arctic Cat unit and installs plug-and-play. The single plug with three terminals matches the original connector, and the 28 mm interior and 87 mm exterior diameters match the original stator. Confirm the OEM number on your existing unit against the cross reference table before ordering.
What is included?
You receive the stator, the pickup pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet. Because the pickup coil comes with the assembly there is no need to transfer the old one across.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure both windings with a multimeter. The alternator winding should read 0.4 ohms +/- 20 per cent between yellow and white, and the pickup coil should read 110 ohms +/- 20 per cent between blue/yellow and ground. An open circuit on the alternator winding means no charge; an open or badly out-of-range pickup coil usually shows up as no spark or an intermittent misfire.
Does it also cure a no-spark fault?
It can, where the fault lies in the pickup pulsar coil, because that coil is part of this assembly and is replaced along with the stator. Check the 110 ohms +/- 20 per cent pickup reading first to confirm the coil is the cause before ordering.
