Is this suitable for use as a Slideway Oil?

No. This is a circulating and machine oil. Slideway oils (like Vactra No. 2 or 4) contain specific tackiness agents to prevent "stick-slip" on vertical ways. This oil is designed for internal lubrication of gears, bearings, and circulating systems.

Is this oil safe for brass or bronze components?
