Brand new aftermarket crank position sensor for the Polaris 570, 900 and 1000 engine family. The crank position sensor is the component that tells the ECU exactly where the crankshaft is and how fast it is turning. Every ignition and injection event is timed from that signal, so when the sensor weakens or its winding goes out of specification the machine will typically crank without firing, cut out without warning, misfire under load, or refuse to restart once hot.
This unit is a direct replacement for the original sensor. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, using the original three-terminal plug and the original mounting, so it goes straight into the crankcase position without modification to the harness. The winding measures 1000 ohms plus or minus 10 per cent, which gives you a straightforward bench check against your old part before you fit it. Every unit shipped is tested before dispatch, and all item pictures are accurate - if in doubt, compare the sensor body and plug against your original.

Do I need to modify anything to fit it?
No. It is a direct, plug-and-play replacement using the original mounting position and the original three-terminal plug, so no cutting or splicing of the harness is required.
What do I receive?
One brand new crank position sensor, tested before dispatch, as shown in the photographs. Re-use the original mounting bolt and seal from the sensor you remove.
How do I tell whether my crank sensor has failed?
Typical symptoms are an engine that cranks strongly but will not fire, a machine that cuts out suddenly and restarts after cooling, an intermittent misfire under load, or a stored crankshaft position fault code. A resistance check across the sensor is the quickest confirmation - a healthy unit of this type reads around 1000 ohms, and a reading that is open circuit, near zero, or well outside the 10 per cent tolerance points to a failed sensor.
Can debris on the sensor cause the same symptoms?
Yes. Because the sensor reads a toothed trigger through a small air gap, metal debris collected on its tip or a damaged sensor face can corrupt the signal even when the winding tests correctly. Clean the sensor tip and its bore, and inspect the plug for corrosion, before condemning the part.
