This external ignition coil is a direct replacement for the original unit fitted across a very wide range of Honda motorcycles, from classic CB models through to Gold Wing, Shadow, VTX and CBR machines, built to OEM specifications for correct fit, function and spark output.
Electrically it matches the original coil, with a primary resistance of 2.42 ohm (+/-12%) and a secondary resistance of 11.5-12 k-ohm, so ignition performance is unaffected. The original spark plug cap(s) simply transfer across to the new coil.
