This is a heavy-duty replacement magneto flywheel rotor for the Polaris 500cc ATV and UTV range. It is built to answer the magnet detachment problem these machines are known for, where a magnet works loose inside the flywheel and destroys the stator behind it.
RMSTATOR bond the magnets with a high-temperature epoxy that is stronger than OEM, eliminating the possibility of magnet detachment, and then cap the assembly in steel so that engine oil cannot degrade the bond and any loose magnet is held inside a protective sleeve. Please note the compatibility restriction before ordering: this part only fits OEM number 3089905 with FF95 and/or 5820K stamping on the flywheel.

Will it fit my machine without modification?
It is a direct replacement for the original rotor on the models listed above, provided your machine uses OEM part 3089905. Check the stamping on the face of your existing flywheel first: this part only fits units stamped FF95 and/or 5820K.
What is included?

How do I know the original flywheel has failed?
Magnet detachment is the failure to look for. It usually announces itself as a knock or grinding noise from the stator cover, metal debris inside the cover, chewed or scored stator windings, or a charging system that stops working without warning. If a magnet has moved, the flywheel needs replacing - a stator fitted behind a failing flywheel will simply be destroyed again.
Should I replace the stator at the same time?
If a magnet has come loose it will normally have damaged the stator windings, so inspect the stator carefully while the cover is off. The flywheel is sold on its own here and does not include a stator.
