This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to a wide range of Ducati models built between 1999 and 2011. It is a plug-and-play, direct-fit part, so it mounts in the original position, uses the original mounting points and connects to the existing loom without cutting, splicing or modification. Part number RMS010-103795.
The stator is wound with the highest grade copper windings, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, and uses the highest grade lamination materials in the core. A connector and rubber grommet are supplied fitted. The matching opposite connector for the main harness side is also included in the box, because the original harness-side connector is frequently found melted, corroded or otherwise defective and is a major cause of repeat electrical faults on these machines. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
The usual symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, and a charging voltage that does not rise above battery voltage with the engine running. A resistance check across the three yellow wires should read approximately 0.4 ohms with a 20 percent tolerance. A reading that is open circuit, short circuit, or well outside that figure, or any continuity between a yellow wire and the stator body, indicates a failed stator.
