This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original generator stator fitted to Ski-Doo Grand Touring 600, GTX 500 and 600, and MX Z 500, 600 and 800 snowmobiles, plus the Lynx YETI 600, from 2003 to 2010. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so the factory mounting points, the wiring route and the connectors are all retained and no modification is needed.
The stator is the generating half of the charging system: it produces the alternating current that the regulator rectifier converts into the DC that charges the battery and feeds the lights, gauges and electric start. This is a compact five-wire unit, 103 mm across and 14 mm thick, wound with the highest grade copper on the highest grade lamination material and rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. The connector is included and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Does this stator need any modification to fit?
No. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, plug-and-play, with the same five wires, two plugs and five pins as the factory part and a 500 mm run of wire to the connector.
What is included in the box?
The stator with its connector. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Test it with a multimeter. Between the yellow wires you should read 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 percent and yellow to green 0.8 ohms plus or minus 20 percent. Yellow to ground should read O.L., that is open circuit with no continuity at all. If a yellow wire shows continuity to ground the winding has shorted to the core and the stator must be replaced.
How do I confirm this is the right stator for my sled?
Read the number stamped on your original unit and check it against the cross reference table. This part replaces Ski-Doo 420889905, 420888313, 410922993, 410922965 and 410922946. Confirm the physical size too: 40 mm interior diameter, 103 mm exterior diameter and 14 mm thick.
