A brand new aftermarket generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to a wide span of Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles built between 2003 and 2010. Installation is plug-and-play and a direct fit, using the standard mounting and the standard harness connection, so the repair does not involve modifying the sled's wiring in any way. A connector is included in the box and all products are tested before shipping.

Construction uses the highest grade of lamination materials and the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. A snowmobile charging system is worked hard by heated grips, heated visors, headlights and electric fuel pumps, often at low engine speed while trail riding, and it is that sustained load rather than mileage that eventually cooks an original stator. A high temperature winding is the direct answer to that failure mode.

The unit carries five wires into two plugs with five pins in total. Published resistance values make bench testing simple: between each pair of yellow wires the reading should be approximately 0.4 ohms, yellow to green should read approximately 0.8 ohms, and any yellow wire measured to ground should show O.L, an open load. A sled that will not hold battery charge, has dim or flickering lights, or has already had a voltage regulator fitted without curing the fault is a strong candidate for stator failure.
