This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to the Suzuki GSXR 600 and GSXR 750 between 2000 and 2003. The stator is wound with the highest grade copper and built on the highest grade lamination materials, with insulation rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure the resistance between the two yellow alternator wires with the connector unplugged. A healthy unit reads around 0.6 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. A battery that will not stay charged and lights that dim badly at idle are the usual symptoms.
