This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Kawasaki Jet Ski range built between 2004 and 2019, covering the STX, STX-12F, STX-15F, JT1200 and JT1500 hulls along with the SX-R JS1500 and the Ultra LX. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and is plug-and-play, so it mounts in the original position and connects to the existing loom without cutting, splicing or modification. Part number RM01528, replacing Kawasaki OEM number 21003-3749.

What is included in the box?

How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
On a personal watercraft the usual signs are a battery that will not stay charged between outings, a machine that cranks slowly or not at all after a short run, and charging voltage that does not rise with engine speed. With a multimeter, resistance between each pair of white wires should read approximately 1.1 ohms with a 20 percent tolerance. An open or shorted winding, a value well outside that range, or continuity between a white wire and the stator body confirms a failed stator.
Why do watercraft stators fail more often than motorcycle ones?
A Jet Ski engine bay is sealed, poorly ventilated and runs hot, so the stator windings spend their life close to their thermal limit. That is why this unit is wound with copper rated to 200 degrees Celsius and built on high grade laminations, giving more thermal headroom than a standard replacement.
