A brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Kawasaki ZR-7, ZR-7S and ZR 750 of 2000 to 2005, supplied as a direct replacement for the original charging unit. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, using the standard mounting holes and the standard three-pin connector, so the swap is a straight exchange behind the generator cover with no rewiring and no modification to the machine.
The stator is built on highest grade lamination materials with highest grade copper windings rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is what an air-cooled in-line four asks of the charging system once it is sitting in traffic on a warm day. The compact 92 mm outer diameter and 630 mm lead from the grommet to the plug match the original part, so the harness routes exactly as it did before. Every unit is tested before it is shipped. The opposite connector for the main harness side is supplied as well, because those plugs are frequently melted, corroded or defective by the time a stator fails and are a major cause of repeat electrical problems.

What is included?

How do I check whether the old stator has failed?
Disconnect the plug and measure across each pair of the three black and red output wires. Each pair should read about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, with all three readings similar. An open circuit on any pair, or continuity from a winding to the stator body, confirms a failure.
Why replace the harness-side connector too?
The three-pin joint carries the full alternator output and heat damage there is common on a bike that has lost a stator. Fitting the supplied opposite connector at the same time removes a known repeat-failure point instead of leaving a burnt plug in circuit with a new stator.
