A brand new aftermarket generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Kawasaki VN 700 and the VN 750 Vulcan. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part, so installation is straightforward and no modification to the wiring loom or the engine cases is required.
The stator uses the highest grade of lamination materials and the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. The 18-pole assembly measures 102 mm across the outside with a 38 mm interior diameter and a thickness of 19.5 mm, and carries three wires terminating in three plugs with three pins. A rubber grommet, connector and pins are supplied with the stator, and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

How can I tell my old stator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not hold its charge, dim or flickering lights and low charging voltage at the battery with the engine running. As a bench check, the resistance between each pair of the three stator wires should read around 0.4 ohms, and any stator wire measured to ground should read open circuit (O.L). A reading well outside those figures points to a failed winding or a short to the core.
