This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Kawasaki Vulcan VN 1500 Classic. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part that mounts in the original position and plugs into the original three-pin connector, so no modification of the wiring loom is required.
The core is made from the highest grade lamination materials and the windings are the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. This is a large cruiser stator - 115 mm exterior diameter, 54 mm interior diameter and 19 mm thick. The connector and rubber grommet are included, and we also supply the opposite connector for the main harness side, because the original is often melted, corroded or defective and is a major cause of repetitive electrical issues. All products shipped are tested.

What is included in the box?

How do I tell if my old stator has failed?
Unplug the stator and measure resistance between each pair of the three black wires - each pair should read 0.5 ohms +/-20%. Then check between any black wire and the engine case; there should be no continuity. An open circuit, an unbalanced reading between pairs, or a short to earth confirms the stator has failed. A battery that will not stay charged on a long ride is the usual first symptom.
How long are the leads?
The wiring runs 160 mm from the stator body to the rubber grommet and a further 130 mm from the grommet to the plug, matching the original routing on the VN 1500 so the connector sits in its factory position.
