This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, part number RMS010-101538, built as a direct replacement for the original charging coil fitted to Sea-Doo personal watercraft and jet boats from 2002 to 2017. It covers the Challenger, GTI, GTX, RXP, RXT, GTX 4-Tec, Sportster and Wake ranges. The unit is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it uses the original mounting holes, the original grommet route and the original three pin connector with no cutting, splicing or drilling.
The stator is a simple three phase, three wire charging coil with a single plug. It is wound with the highest grade copper on the highest grade lamination stack, and the winding insulation is rated to 200 degrees Celsius, which is what a stator sealed inside a magneto cover on a marine engine needs in order to survive. The connector and the rubber grommet are supplied fitted, and every unit is tested before it is shipped. This is a charging coil only, with no pickup coil integrated into the assembly.

Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part. The mounting holes, the grommet and the three pin connector all match the original, so nothing needs to be cut, spliced or drilled on a craft that carries one of the OEM part numbers listed above.
What is included?
The stator assembly with its connector already fitted, and the rubber grommet. Every unit is tested before it is dispatched.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Test it cold with a multimeter. Between any two of the three yellow wires you should read about 0.5 ohms, within 20%. Any leg that reads open circuit, or that shows continuity to the stator core or to the engine casing, means the winding has failed. The usual symptoms are a battery that goes flat on the water, dim gauges, and a craft that runs but will not restart after a stop.
Does this stator include a pickup coil?
No. This is a three wire charging stator only, with a single three pin plug. The trigger or pickup arrangement on these engines is a separate component and is not part of this assembly.
