A brand new stator supplied as a direct replacement for the original charging coil fitted to the 600 class Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles built between 2003 and 2010. Installation is plug-and-play and a direct fit: the unit mounts in the standard position and connects through the standard plug, so no wiring changes are needed anywhere on the sled. A connector is included and every unit is tested before shipping.

The stator is wound with the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade lamination materials. That heat rating is what separates a long-lasting replacement from a short-lived one. Snowmobile charging systems run at high sustained load from heated grips, heated visor sockets, headlights and accessories, frequently at part throttle on the trail, and the resulting heat soak is the usual reason an original winding eventually breaks down.

The design uses three wires and three pins, with a 690 mm lead from the stator body to the plug. Testing needs nothing more than a multimeter: the yellow alternator legs should read approximately 0.4 ohms to one another, and none of them should show continuity to the engine ground. Symptoms that usually point to a failed stator include a battery that goes flat over a day of riding, lights that fade at idle and brighten with revs, and a charging voltage at the battery that never rises above resting voltage.

Is any modification required?

No. It is a direct replacement for the original unit with plug-and-play, direct fit installation. The sled's harness is not modified.

How do I test my existing stator?

With the stator unplugged, measure between each pair of yellow alternator wires. A serviceable unit reads about 0.4 ohms, within plus or minus 20 percent. Then check each yellow wire against a clean engine ground - there should be no continuity. A short to ground or an open circuit reading confirms the winding has failed.

Is this the same as the five-wire Ski-Doo stator?

No. RM01313 is a three-wire, three-pin stator measuring 107 mm outside diameter and 23 mm thick. Other Ski-Doo applications of the same era use five or seven wire stators with different dimensions, so match the wire count and dimensions of your existing unit before ordering.
