This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Suzuki GSXR 1300 Hayabusa built between 1999 and 2007. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and is plug-and-play, so it fits the original position and mating connectors with no cutting, splicing or modification required. Part number RM01563.
Unlike a bare stator, this assembly is supplied complete with the pick-up pulsar coil already mounted, so the ignition trigger is replaced at the same time as the charging windings. Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original Hayabusa stator and is plug-and-play. What is included in the box?
You receive the stator complete with the pick-up pulsar coil fitted, the connectors and the rubber grommet. Five wires and two plugs come out of the assembly - three for the alternator windings and two for the pick-up coil.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
A failing stator usually shows up as a battery that will not hold charge, dim lights, or charging voltage that stays at battery level with the engine running. With a multimeter, the alternator windings should read approximately 0.6 ohms between any two yellow wires, and the pick-up coil approximately 238 ohms between green and blue, both with a 20 percent tolerance. Readings that are open, shorted or well outside those figures, or any continuity to the stator body, point to a failed unit.
Why does this stator come with the pick-up pulsar coil?
On this application the pick-up pulsar coil is mounted on the same plate as the charging windings, so it is supplied as one assembly. That means the ignition trigger signal source is renewed at the same time as the charging coils, which removes a second common failure point without a separate job.
