This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, built as a direct replacement for the original charging system stator fitted to the Suzuki DL 1000 V-Strom and the later DL 1050 V-Strom. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: the mounting pattern, the wire lengths and the connectors all match the factory unit, so no drilling, cutting or harness modification is required. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied with the stator, so the assembly goes back into the engine cover as one complete unit.
The stator is wound with the highest grade of copper on the highest grade of lamination material, and the winding is rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius - the condition that kills most original stators on a big touring twin worked hard in traffic or on long high-load runs. Connectors and the rubber grommet are supplied with the part so the loom can be sealed properly on reassembly, and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

What is included?
The stator with its pick-up pulsar coil, the connectors and the rubber grommet. Everything needed to seal and plug the unit back into the standard loom is in the box.
How can I tell that the old stator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not hold its charge, lights that dim or flicker as the revs rise, and a bike that runs only until the battery is flat. The reliable check is resistance. On this unit the alternator should read about 0.6 ohms from one yellow wire to another, any yellow wire to ground should read open circuit, and the pick-up coil should read about 192 ohms green to red. A reading well outside those figures, or continuity between a yellow wire and ground, means the winding has broken down.
Does one stator really cover both the DL 1000 and the DL 1050?
Yes. The same unit covers the DL 1000 V-Strom for 2014-2016 and 2018-2019 and the DL 1050 V-Strom for 2020-2025. If you are unsure which unit your bike carries, check the number stamped or labelled on the original stator against 32101-31J00 and 32101-06L00 before ordering.
