This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Yamaha WR 250 F. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit component, so installation is straightforward and no modification of the wiring loom is required. The stator is wound with the highest grade copper windings, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, and uses the highest grade lamination materials for the core.
The assembly is supplied complete with the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet, so everything needed to replace a failed charging system component comes in the box. We also include the opposite connector - the main harness side - because these are frequently found melted, corroded or defective and are a major cause of repeat electrical faults. How do I tell if my old stator has failed?
Measure the resistance across the windings with a multimeter and compare against the figures in the specification table above: 0.4 ohms +/-20% from Yellow to White on the alternator side, and 280 ohms +/-20% from Pink to White on the pick-up. A reading far outside those values, or continuity between any winding wire and the stator core, indicates a failed unit.
Does this include the pick-up pulsar coil?
Yes. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied already fitted to the stator plate, with 90 mm of wire from the coil to the grommet. The complete assembly has 4 wires and 2 plugs.
