A brand new RMSTATOR generator stator for the Yamaha XV Virago family, supplied as a direct replacement for the original charging coil assembly. Once your original grommet has been re-installed with the new connector supplied, the unit is plug-and-play, a direct fit, and very easy to install.
It is wound with the highest grade lamination materials and the highest grade copper windings, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is what keeps the insulation intact under the heat and vibration of a hard-worked V-twin. All units are tested before they are shipped. A second, opposite connector for the main harness side is supplied with the stator, because the harness-side plug is frequently melted or corroded on a bike old enough to need a new stator.

How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure the alternator windings with a multimeter. Between each White wire the reading should be 0.4 ohms +/-20%. A reading that is open circuit, shorted to the stator body, or far away from that figure indicates a failed winding and explains a battery that will not hold charge.
