Generator Stator for Yamaha XVS 1300 Stryker, V Star and Tourer
Yamaha XVS Stryker, V Star and Tourer 1300 - 2010-2017
This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for 2010-2017 Yamaha XVS 1300 Stryker, V Star and Tourer models. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, plug-and-play and direct fit, so it uses the original mounting points and connectors and needs no modification. Part number RM01582 replaces Yamaha OEM 3D8-81410-10-00 and 3D8-81410-20-00.
The stator is the fixed set of windings inside the engine case that generates the electrical power the bike runs on. As the flywheel magnets sweep past it, the windings produce alternating current which the regulator rectifier then converts and feeds to the battery. This unit is wound with the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade lamination material - the two things that determine how long a stator survives the heat and vibration inside the case. It has an interior diameter of 58 mm, an exterior diameter of 130 mm and a thickness of 18 mm, with five wires and two plugs carrying five pins in total. Alternator resistance measures 0.4 ohms +/-20 percent white to white, and the pickup measures 287 ohms +/-20 percent black to grey. The pick up pulsar coil, the connectors and the rubber grommet are all included, so the assembly goes in complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct fit with the original 58 mm interior and 130 mm exterior diameters, 18 mm thickness and the factory wiring lengths and plugs, so it drops into the original position and connects to the existing harness. Check your model and year against the fitment table before ordering.
What is included?
The stator itself, plus the pick up pulsar coil, the connectors and the rubber grommet - so the complete assembly goes back in as one piece. You will need a new stator cover gasket and fresh engine oil for the side you open, as those are not supplied.
How do I confirm the old stator has failed?
Measure resistance across the three white alternator wires: each pair should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 percent, and none of them should show continuity to earth. Then measure the pickup, black to grey, which should read about 287 ohms plus or minus 20 percent. A flat battery that will not stay charged, or a bike that will not fire at all, usually traces to one of those two readings being out.
Why does the pickup coil come with it?
On the XVS 1300 the pickup coil shares the stator harness and its grommets, so replacing the stator on its own would mean transferring the old coil and its wiring. Supplying both together means the whole loom, both plugs and the grommet are new, which removes the most common source of repeat electrical faults after a stator change.
