A brand new aftermarket generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to Sea-Doo personal watercraft and sport boats with the 780, 800, 950 and 951 engines, covering model years 1995 to 2003. It is a plug-and-play unit, a direct fit in the original position, and very easy to install with no modification to the engine, the flywheel or the wiring loom.
The stator uses a higher grade of electrical components throughout and is wound with the highest grade of copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius - an important margin in a machine that runs hot and takes a great deal of vibration. It is an 18 pole unit with four wires running to a single four pin plug on a 130 mm lead. Every unit is bench tested before it is shipped.

How do I tell whether the old stator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not hold charge over a day on the water, dim instrument lighting, weak or intermittent spark, and the engine cutting out when hot. Measure the resistance between the two yellow alternator wires - it should read 0.9 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent - and check both wires read open circuit to the stator body.
