Yamaha YZF R6 - 2006-2024 - RMSTATOR part RM01005
This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Yamaha YZF R6, built as a direct replacement for the original unit. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it installs using the original mounting points and connector with no modification to the loom.
The stator is wound with the highest grade of copper winding, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade of lamination materials. It is a three-wire unit with a single three-pin plug, reading 0.2 ohms with a 20 per cent tolerance between each of the red leads. Both the connector and the opposite connector for the main harness side are supplied, because the harness-side plug is very commonly found melted or corroded when a stator is changed and leaving it in place simply cooks the new unit's connector as well.

Will this fit without modification?

What is included?
The stator with its connector fitted, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side. Fitting the supplied harness-side connector at the same time is strongly recommended - a plug that has already overheated will keep running hot and will damage the new stator's connector too.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Look for a battery that goes flat on a ride, charging voltage that will not rise at the battery terminals as revs increase, or a burnt smell from the connector. Test cold with a multimeter between each pair of red wires: a healthy stator reads about 0.2 ohms with a 20 per cent tolerance, and no red wire should show continuity to the engine case.
Why does the temperature rating matter?
A stator sits inside the engine cases in hot oil and cannot shed heat easily. Winding insulation rated to 200 degrees Celsius resists breaking down under that heat, which is what causes a winding to short to the laminations or to ground and take the charging system with it.
