This is a brand new 100 watt high output performance stator for the Yamaha YFZ 350 Banshee, supplied with an adjustable timing backplate. It is a direct replacement for your original unit, with plug and play, direct fit, easy installation. What sets it apart from a plain replacement is the timing plate: it allows the ignition timing to be advanced or retarded by up to 10 degrees, so you can dial the ignition in to suit a pipe change, a porting job or a different fuel rather than being locked to the factory setting.
The stator is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, so it copes with the heat inside the flywheel housing far better than a tired original. It is supplied complete with the pickup pulsar coil, connector and rubber grommet, along with the adjustable timing plate, and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Does fitting this require any modification?
No. It is a direct replacement designed as a plug-in, direct fit installation, so no cutting or drilling is needed. Our wire colours may differ from the original, but the wires are in the correct order, so leave the wiring exactly as supplied.
What is included in the box?
The stator with pickup pulsar coil, connector and rubber grommet, plus the adjustable timing plate giving up to 10 degrees of advance or retard. The flywheel, CDI and regulator are not included.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Check the AC output, then test the windings against the table above: 0.2 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent alternator black to yellow, 125 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent pickup white/red to white/green, and 22 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent source green to red. Typical symptoms are weak or absent spark on one or both cylinders and a lighting circuit that will not come up to voltage.
How does the adjustable timing plate work?
The backplate is slotted so the stator can be rotated relative to the crankcase before the fasteners are tightened, giving up to 10 degrees of advance or retard from standard. Set it against the factory timing marks as a baseline, make small changes, and verify with a timing light. Set the pickup coil air gap no less than 0.010 in, and disconnect the battery before servicing.
