High Output Stator 130 W - Suzuki LT 250 R and LT 500 R Quadracer
Suzuki LT 250 R / LT 500 R Quadracer 1985-1992 - Part number RM01012
This is a brand new 130 watt high output aftermarket stator, a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Suzuki LT 250 R Quadracer and LT 500 R Quadracer between 1985 and 1992. It produces 20 per cent more output over stock and works with all other OEM components, which makes it both a straightforward repair for a burnt out original and a sensible upgrade for any Quadracer running extra lighting or accessories. Installation is plug and play and direct fit, using the original 83 mm outer diameter, 30 mm inner diameter and 35 mm thickness.
It is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, which is what lets it handle the increased output reliably inside a hot flywheel housing. It is supplied complete with the pickup pulsar coil, connector, rubber grommet and back plate, so nothing needs salvaging from the failed unit. Every stator is tested before it ships. Our wire colours may differ from the original, but all wires are installed in the correct order, so do not change the wiring configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement designed for plug and play, direct fit installation, with no cutting, drilling or rewiring required. It works with all other OEM components, so your flywheel, CDI, regulator and harness are retained. Always use a locking compound when bolting the stator in.
What is included in the box?
The complete stator with the pickup pulsar coil, connector, rubber grommet and back plate all included and fitted. The flywheel, regulator rectifier and CDI unit are not supplied.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Test the windings and compare against the table above: 1.6 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent alternator yellow/red to black/white, 142 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent pickup blue to black/white, and 367 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent source black/red to black/white. An open circuit, a badly out of range reading, or continuity between any winding and the stator core confirms a failure. Typical symptoms are a flat battery, dim lights, or complete loss of spark.
Anything else to do while it is apart?
Yes. Because the pickup coil is included, verify the air gap on installation - as close as possible and no less than 0.010 in. Replace any burnt or corroded connectors, repair melted wiring, and use high temperature dielectric grease, otherwise the original fault can repeat. Disconnect the battery before servicing.
