This is a brand new aftermarket high output stator (RMSTATOR part RM01061) for the 1986 and 1987 Honda TRX 350 Fourtrax. RMSTATOR rate it at 20 percent more output over stock, and it works with all other OEM components - the regulator rectifier, the CDI and the ignition coil all stay as they are. Nothing on the machine needs to be uprated to suit it.
Despite the extra output it remains a direct replacement for the original unit, with plug-and-play, direct fit installation. It is built on the highest grade lamination materials with copper windings rated to 200 degrees Celsius. The kit includes the connector and rubber grommet, and RMSTATOR also supply the opposite connector for the main harness side, which is useful on a machine of this age where the original plug is often melted or corroded.

Yes. Although it is a high output unit it remains a direct, plug-and-play replacement for the original stator, and it works with all the other OEM components on the machine. No harness modification is needed.
What is included in the box?

How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure between the yellow output wires - about 0.4 ohms, within plus or minus 20 percent - and from a yellow wire to the stator body, which must read open circuit. Then check the source coil from Green to Black, which should read about 315 ohms. A winding that reads open, dead short, or shows continuity to ground has failed. A battery that will not stay charged and weak or absent spark are the common symptoms.
Do I need to change my regulator rectifier for a high output stator?
No. RMSTATOR state that this unit works with all other OEM components, so the standard regulator rectifier, CDI and coil are retained.
