This is a brand new high output aftermarket stator for the Kawasaki KFX 700, the KVF 650 and KVF 750 Brute Force and Prairie, and the Suzuki LTV 700, covering model years 2002 to 2013. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and gives 20 percent more output over stock while continuing to work with all other OEM components, so no changes to the rest of the charging system are needed.
The stator generates the AC current that charges the battery and feeds the ignition. When the windings break down you typically get a flat battery, a weak or intermittent spark, or charging that only comes in at high revs. This unit uses the highest grade lamination materials and copper windings rated to 200 degrees Celsius, and it is supplied with the connector, the opposite connector and the rubber grommet. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Will this fit without modification?
Yes. On the applications listed above it is a direct replacement for the original unit and it works with all other OEM components, so the original regulator, wiring and mounting are all retained. No cutting or splicing is required.
What is included in the box?

How do I tell the old stator has failed?
With the engine off, measure between the yellow wires - each pair should read about 0.7 ohms, within plus or minus 20 percent - and check that no winding shows continuity to earth. An open circuit, a shorted winding or continuity to earth means the stator has failed.
Do I need a different regulator to use the extra output?
No. This unit gives 20 percent more output over stock and is designed to work with all the other OEM components, including the original regulator or rectifier. It is still worth testing the regulator before fitting, because a shorted regulator can overload a new stator.
