This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to the Honda VFR 800 Interceptor from 2002 to 2009. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: it mounts in the original position and connects to the existing main harness, so no cutting, splicing or modification of the loom is required to fit it.
The unit is wound with the highest grade copper on the highest grade lamination materials, and the windings are resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. A connector and a rubber grommet are supplied with the stator, and every unit is tested before it is shipped. This is RMSTATOR part number RM01459.

Will this stator fit my VFR 800 Interceptor without modification?
Yes. It is a direct fit for the 2002-2009 VFR 800 Interceptor and is supplied with the correct connector already fitted, so it plugs into the existing main harness. No cutting or splicing of the loom is needed, and it mounts in the original position on the engine.
What is included in the box?
The stator unit itself, the connector, and the rubber grommet that seals the wires where they pass out of the engine case. Every unit is tested before it leaves us.
How do I tell whether my old stator has actually failed?
The usual sign is a battery that will not stay charged, or that goes flat after a short ride, with lights that dim at idle. You can check the old unit with a multimeter: the wire-to-wire resistance between the black wires should read about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, and none of the three wires should show continuity to the stator body or to engine earth. A reading that is open circuit, far out of range, or shorted to earth points to a failed stator.
The number on my original unit is not exactly one of the numbers listed. Can I still use this stator?
Honda used several part numbers across the production run of this model, and all of the numbers in the cross reference table above are covered by this stator. If the number stamped on your original unit is not one of those five, check it against the table before ordering rather than going by the model name alone.
