Frequently Asked Questions
Will this coil fit without modification?
Yes. RMSTATOR describes this unit as plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it is a direct replacement for your original coil. The two fixation holes sit 54 mm apart, centre to centre, to match the original mounting, and the lead wires are supplied at their original 90 mm and 283 mm lengths. No cutting, splicing or bracket modification is needed.
What is included?
You receive one brand new external ignition coil, RMSTATOR part number RMS060-105954. No further contents are listed for this part, so any hardware, boots or fasteners you need should be carried over from your original unit.
How do I know my old ignition coil has failed?
Typical symptoms are a bike that will not start or is very hard to start, a weak or intermittent spark, misfiring, cutting out under load, or a machine that runs when cold but dies once it warms up. A resistance check is the usual confirmation - this coil reads 0.6 ohms, so a reading far above or far below that on your original unit, or an open circuit, points to a failed coil.
Does it fit every KX 65, 85, 100 and 112 in the 2006 to 2024 range?
The 2006 to 2024 span is the overall coverage for this part across those four models. The most reliable check is the number on your original coil - if it reads 21121-0722 or 21121-0022, this is the correct replacement. If you are unsure, send us your model and year and our technical team will confirm before you order.
