Questions & Answers

Is this oil safe for systems with copper or brass components?

Yes, this formulation is specifically "Yellow Metal Safe." It uses buffered extreme pressure additives that will not react with or corrode copper, bronze, or brass components, making it ideal for worm gears and other sensitive industrial units.

How do I know if it is compatible?

We recommend checking your machine manual for the ISO Viscosity Grade (VG 150) and the CLP/DIN 51517 Part 3 specification. If your original part or manual calls for any of the cross-referenced oils listed above, this is a suitable replacement.

Can this be used in automotive differentials?

This is an industrial-grade gear oil. While it provides excellent protection, we do not recommend using it in automotive axles or hypoid differentials unless the manufacturer specifically calls for an industrial ISO 150 CLP oil.
