A brand new aftermarket stator for the Suzuki RM 125 of 1986 to 1988 and the RM 250 of 1989 to 1995, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, mounting on the standard fixings behind the flywheel, so nothing on the bike needs cutting, drilling or rewiring.
This is a complete plate assembly rather than a bare winding. The pick up pulsar coil and the back plate are both included, so the ignition trigger and the source coil are renewed together in a single job - which matters on machines of this age, where a weak spark is usually the combined result of both parts having done thirty years of service. Construction uses the highest grade of lamination materials and the highest grade of copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. Every unit is tested before it is shipped, and a rubber grommet is supplied with it. One part number covers nine Suzuki OEM references across the two models.

How do I tell whether the old stator has failed?
Test both circuits with a meter. The pickup, taken Green to Blue, should read about 102 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. The source coil, taken Black/Red to Red/White, should read about 168 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. An open circuit, a reading well outside those figures, or continuity from a winding to the stator body all confirm a failure.
Does the same part suit both the RM 125 and the RM 250?
Yes, but the year ranges differ between the two models: the RM 125 is covered from 1986 to 1988 and the RM 250 from 1989 to 1995. Check your model year against the fitment table as well as the OEM number on the unit you are replacing.
