Lithium-Ion Compatible Mosfet Voltage Regulator Rectifier
Universal fitment for ATV, UTV, motorcycle, snowmobile, PWC and scooter - Part RMS020-104185
Brand new Lithium-Ion battery compatible MOSFET voltage regulator. Lithium-ion batteries need a lower and more tightly controlled charging voltage than a lead-acid battery, and this unit is built to deliver it: the minimum charging voltage is held at 14.0 +/- 0.2 VDC rather than the higher figure a conventional regulator targets.
It is a direct replacement for your original unit and is plug-and-play, a direct fit and easy to install. The opposite connector, the main harness side, is included with the unit, which allows you to replace both halves of a burnt or corroded connection at the same time. This is a universal part rather than a model specific one, so check the dimensions and connector details below against the unit you are replacing.
Key Features
- Compatible with lithium-ion batteries, charging at 14.0 +/- 0.2 VDC

- Opposite connector, main harness side, included
- Two plugs with five pins and five wires
- Rated to 50 A / 500 W maximum charging current
- Suits ATV, UTV, motorcycle, snowmobile, PWC and scooter applications

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my machine without modification?
This is a universal unit rather than a model specific one, so it is not guaranteed to be a plug-in swap on every machine. Compare the 114 mm by 94 mm by 32 mm body, the 74 mm fixation hole spacing and the two plugs with five pins and five wires against your original regulator before ordering.
What is included?
The regulator rectifier itself plus the opposite connector, the main harness side, so you can renew both sides of the connection in one go.
Why do lithium-ion batteries need a different regulator?
A lithium-ion pack is charged at a lower and more closely controlled voltage than a lead-acid battery. This unit holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.0 +/- 0.2 VDC, which is what makes it suitable for lithium-ion use.
How do I know my old regulator has failed?
Look for a battery that will not hold charge, lights that dim or brighten with engine speed, or a charging voltage at the battery that never settles where it should. A regulator body that is discoloured, melted or extremely hot to the touch is a further sign.
