MOSFET Regulator Rectifier - RMS020-102316
Honda Scooter SH300 - 2007 to 2010
An advanced MOSFET voltage rectifier regulator for the Honda SH300 scooter built between 2007 and 2010, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit. MOSFET regulators run cooler than OEM diode style units and add overheat protection, which addresses the heat related failures that finish off most original regulators. Installation is plug-and-play, so the unit goes straight onto the standard mounting and connectors.
The body measures 90 mm by 90 mm by 30 mm with 75 mm between the mounting hole centres, and it carries 2 plugs, 5 pins and 5 wires on 260 mm leads. Electrically it holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V, keeps the open circuit voltage below 15 V, handles up to 50 A / 500 W of charging current and operates from -20 C to 85 C. The opposite connector for the main harness side is included, so a plug that has been cooked by the old regulator can be renewed at the same time rather than being left to cause the same fault again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit on the SH300 from 2007 to 2010, with the same 2 plugs, 5 pins and 75 mm mounting hole spacing, so it is plug-and-play. Please confirm the OEM number on your original regulator before ordering.
What is included?
The MOSFET regulator rectifier and the opposite connector for the main harness side.
How can I tell my old regulator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not hold charge or that needs charging between rides, a charging voltage at the battery terminals that never reaches about 14.5 V or that climbs above 15 V, lights that dim and brighten with engine speed, and a regulator that runs extremely hot. Melted or corroded connector pins are a common related finding.
Why MOSFET on a scooter?
Scooter regulators sit in tight, poorly ventilated bodywork and spend a lot of time at low road speed, so cooling is limited. A MOSFET unit runs cooler than a diode type and has overheat protection, which makes it better suited to that environment than the original design.
