Mosfet Regulator Rectifier for Polaris RZR 900 XP and RZR XP 4 900 2011-2012
Polaris RZR 900 XP and RZR XP 4 900 - 2011 and 2012
A brand new 65 A heavy duty MOSFET voltage rectifier regulator for the Polaris RZR 900 XP and RZR XP 4 900, designed to put an end to the repeat regulator failures these machines are known for. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, plug-and-play and direct fit.
MOSFET regulators run cooler than OEM diode style regulators, and this one includes overheat protection that shuts the unit off temporarily rather than letting it burn out. RMSTATOR lists the benefits as a lower operating temperature, fuel savings through reduced load on the stator, steadier power delivery, longer battery life and optimised power delivery. It is built with higher grade electrical components and an improved heat sink.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes, on the Polaris RZR 900 XP and RZR XP 4 900 for 2011 and 2012. It is a direct replacement for the original unit with five wires and 115 mm between the fixing holes. The 640 mm wire length gives you room to mount it where it gets better airflow than the original position if you want to.
What is included?
The MOSFET regulator rectifier. RMSTATOR does not list any additional items in the box for this part number.
How do I tell my old regulator has failed?
With the engine running, battery voltage should be held at around 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V. A machine that will not charge, or one that is boiling batteries and blowing bulbs from voltage over 15 V, points at the regulator. On the 900 XP a regulator that has cooked itself is a common failure, so check whether the unit is discoloured or hot to the touch after a short run.
Why do the original regulators on these machines fail so often?
The OEM diode style regulator sheds surplus charging current as heat, and in the RZR's mounting position it struggles to get rid of it. Once it overheats it fails, and it can take the stator with it. This unit is a MOSFET design rated at 50 A / 500 W with overheat protection, so instead of burning out it shuts down temporarily and recovers, and it puts less load on the stator in normal running.
