How do I test an ignition coil?
Measure primary and secondary resistance with a multimeter and compare against your service manual. Readings outside specification, or a coil that only fails when hot, mean it needs replacing.
Is the plug cap included?
Where the original was supplied with an integrated cap, yes. Check the images and specification table.
Will this fix an intermittent misfire?
If the coil tests out of specification, yes. Also check the plug cap, HT lead and earth connections - they cause identical symptoms.
Is this a genuine part?
