A brand new aftermarket pickup coil, also known as a pulsar or trigger coil, supplied under RMSTATOR part number RM00143. The pickup coil is the small sensor mounted next to the flywheel that tells the CDI unit exactly when to fire the spark. When it weakens or fails the engine can refuse to start, cut out under load, or run with an erratic and wandering spark that no amount of carburettor work will cure.
RMSTATOR supply this coil as a stator repair part, so a tired charging and ignition assembly can be brought back to life without replacing the complete unit. It is wound to a nominal 500 ohms to match the resistance figure of the original sensor, and it is often the exact part that is no longer sold separately by the original manufacturer. Fitting is a straightforward mechanical swap using the existing bracket holes and the single signal wire. Every unit is bench tested before it leaves the factory.

What is included?
One pickup coil with a single signal wire and a single pin, tested before dispatch. No other stator components are supplied with it.
How do I know my old pickup coil has failed?
Measure the resistance from the pink wire to ground with a multimeter. A healthy coil reads about 500 ohms, within plus or minus 20 per cent. An open circuit, a dead short, or a reading well outside that band points to a failed coil. Symptoms include no spark, a no-start condition, or the engine cutting out once it warms up.
Can I fit this instead of replacing the whole stator?
That is exactly what it is for. RMSTATOR supply the pickup coil separately so you can repair the assembly rather than buy a complete stator, which is useful on these models because the coil is often unavailable on its own from the original manufacturer.
