A brand new stator for the Polaris Edge and Indy 250 and 340 range, supplied complete with the back plate so the assembly can be fitted as one piece. It is a direct replacement for the original unit - plug-and-play and direct fit, using the factory mounting and the standard connectors.
The stator carries the alternator winding and the ignition source coil on a single plate, so one part restores both the charging output and the feed to the ignition. Highest grade lamination materials and highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, are used throughout, and every unit is tested before it is shipped. Part number RM01263.

Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct fit for the listed Polaris Edge and Indy 250 and 340 machines. The back plate is supplied, so the assembly bolts into the factory position and plugs into the original connectors.
What is included?
The stator, the back plate, the connectors and the rubber grommet. Gaskets and mounting hardware are not supplied - re-use the originals.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Disconnect both plugs and measure. Yellow to Yellow/Red should read about 0.4 ohms and Black/Red to Brown/White about 170 ohms, each within plus or minus 20 percent. An open circuit, or continuity between any winding and the stator plate, means the unit has failed.
Why does this part list three different Polaris numbers?
Polaris superseded the stator twice over the production run of these machines, so 3083983, 3087268 and 3084258 all describe the same fitment. Check the number stamped on your original unit against that list before ordering.
