Stator for Polaris 340, 440, 500 and 550 cc Snowmobiles 1999-2003
Polaris Supersport, Edge, Classic, Sport, Touring, Trail, RMK, Indy and XCF - 1999 to 2003 - OEM replacement 3085934 - Part RM01220
This is a brand new stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to Polaris 340, 440, 500 and 550 cc snowmobiles across the Supersport, Edge, Classic, Sport, Touring, Trail, RMK, Indy and XCF ranges between 1999 and 2003. It cross references Polaris part number 3085934 and installs plug-and-play on the standard mounting points, using the factory connectors, so no cutting or splicing of the loom is needed.
The assembly is built on highest grade lamination materials and wound with highest grade copper windings that are resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. It is a complete unit: the pickup pulsar coil is included, along with the connector and rubber grommet, so the ignition trigger is renewed at the same time as the charging and source windings. Every stator is tested before it is shipped, and all four winding resistances are listed below so you can diagnose your existing part with a multimeter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct, plug-and-play replacement using the original mounting points and connectors, so no cutting or splicing is needed. This part covers a broad range of Polaris models and engine sizes, so confirm the number on your original stator reads 3085934 before ordering.
What is included in the box?
The stator unit, the pickup pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet. All products shipped are tested.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Look for no spark or an intermittent spark, hard starting, a flat battery, dim lights and the engine cutting out. Confirm with a multimeter against the figures in the specification table: alternator 0.4 ohms +/- 20% yellow to yellow/red, pickup 205 ohms +/- 20% yellow to black, source 35 ohms +/- 20% blue/red to black, and source 2 450 ohms +/- 20% green/red to red/white. Open circuits, dead shorts or readings well outside those bands confirm a failure.
Do I need to buy the pickup coil separately?
No. The pickup pulsar coil is supplied as part of this assembly, so the ignition trigger, the charging winding and both source windings are all renewed in one job. In total the unit carries 11 wires terminating in 4 plugs with 16 pins.
