Generator Stator and Gasket Recall Kit for Yamaha WR 250 R and WR 250 X - RM22612
WR 250 R 2008-2020 - WR 250 X 2008-2011 - stator, bolt set and crankcase cover gasket
This is a complete recall-style replacement kit for the Yamaha WR 250 R and WR 250 X: a brand new generator stator, the bolt set and the stator crankcase cover gasket, supplied together so the job can be done in one sitting. Taking a bike to a dealer for recall work commonly means being without it for weeks. This kit ships quickly and can be fitted as soon as it arrives, which is the point of it - the parts that need renewing are all in the box, including the gasket that would otherwise have to be ordered separately once the cover is already off.
The stator itself is a direct replacement for the original unit and is plug-and-play, direct fit, with no drilling, cutting or harness modification needed. It uses the highest grade of lamination material and copper winding rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, and the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet are supplied with it. RMSTATOR have specialised in rebuilding and manufacturing stators for over twenty years, and every unit shipped is tested before it leaves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this kit need any modification to fit?
No. The stator is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement for the original unit on the listed WR 250 R and WR 250 X models. The mounting pattern, wire lengths and connectors follow the factory part, so no drilling, cutting or rewiring is involved.
What is included?
A brand new stator with its pick-up pulsar coil, the bolt set, the stator crankcase cover gasket, the connector and the rubber grommet. Because the cover has to come off to reach the stator, the gasket needed to reseal it is supplied in the same box.
How can I tell that the old stator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, or a bike that cuts out and will not restart. Confirm with a meter: the alternator should read about 0.4 ohms between each pair of white wires, and the pick-up coil about 265 ohms from pink to white. Readings well outside those figures, or continuity from an output wire to ground, mean the winding has broken down.
Why is a gasket supplied with a stator?
The stator sits behind the crankcase cover, so that cover must be removed to change it. The original gasket cannot be reused reliably once disturbed, and refitting the cover without a fresh one invites an oil leak. Supplying gasket and bolt set with the stator means the whole job can be finished without a second order.
