This is a brand new aftermarket AC voltage regulator for Arctic Cat snowmobiles built between 2001 and 2004, covering the Mountain Cat, the Thundercat and the Z, ZL, ZR and ZRT in 440, 500, 570, 600, 800, 900 and 1000 form. It is supplied under RMSTATOR part number RM30364 and replaces Arctic Cat OEM number 0630-142.
This is an AC regulator rather than a regulator rectifier: it holds the alternating current output of the lighting circuit steady so bulbs are not over-driven at high engine speed. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, with the same single plug and two wires and the same 65 mm fixing hole spacing, so it bolts to the standard bracket and plugs into the existing loom.
