Voltage Regulator Rectifier for BMW F650 Funduro / F650 ST and Aprilia Moto 650, Pegaso 650 and Leonardo
BMW 1993-2000 | Aprilia 1995-2005 | Replaces 61 31 2 346 432 and AP8112941 | Part RMS020-103037
This is a brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the BMW F650 Funduro and F650 ST, and to the Aprilia Moto 650, Pegaso 650, Leonardo 250 and Leonardo 300 ST. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part, so no assembly is required and no cutting or splicing of the loom is needed. The body measures 82 mm wide by 89 mm long by 29 mm high, and the two fixation holes are 68 mm apart centre to centre, which means the unit sits on the original mounting points using the original fasteners.
The regulator rectifier carries two plugs, six pins and six wires, with wire lengths of 130 mm, 160 mm and 195 mm. It is built using a higher grade of electrical components than the original part, and the quality exceeds the OEM equipment. Every unit is tested before it is shipped. We also include the opposite connector, the main harness side plug, because that connector is very frequently found melted, corroded or otherwise defective, and on these machines it is itself a major cause of repeat electrical problems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and is designed as a plug-and-play, direct fit part. No assembly is required. The mounting holes are 68 mm apart centre to centre and the unit uses the same two plugs, six pins and six wires as the original, so it connects to the existing loom.
What is included?
You receive the voltage regulator rectifier and, in addition, the opposite connector for the main harness side. We include that second connector because the harness side plug on these machines is so often melted, corroded or defective that replacing only the regulator can leave the underlying fault in place.
How do I know my old regulator rectifier has failed?
The usual approach is to measure the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running. A healthy charging system should hold the minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V. A reading well below that points to a unit that is no longer charging, while a reading that climbs above the open circuit voltage limit of 15 V points to a unit that is no longer regulating. Check the condition of the connector at the same time, as a burnt or corroded plug produces the same symptoms.
Can this part cope with a higher output stator?
The unit is rated to a maximum charging current of 50 A / 500 W and is specified to operate between -20 C and 85 C. Provided your charging system stays within those figures, the regulator rectifier is working inside its design envelope.
