Voltage Regulator Rectifier RM30422 for Honda, Kawasaki, Lynx, Ski-Doo and Yamaha
Honda TRX 450, Kawasaki ZR900, Lynx Rave 550, Ski-Doo Tundra 550 and Yamaha R6, 2002-2026
This is a brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier, part number RM30422, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda TRX 450, Kawasaki ZR900, Lynx Rave 550, Ski-Doo Tundra 550 and Yamaha R6 across the 2002 to 2026 model years. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so no assembly is required. The unit uses a higher grade of electrical components than the original part, with an improved heat sink and improved charging capability, and the quality exceeds the OEM equipment it replaces. All products shipped are tested.
The package also includes the opposite connector - the main harness side plug - because these original connectors are so often melted, corroded or otherwise defective and are a common cause of repeat charging faults. The regulator uses a single plug with five pins, in a body 93 mm wide by 80 mm long by 28 mm high, with 72 mm between the centres of the fixation holes. It provides a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V plus or minus 0.5 V, handles up to 50 A / 500 W of charging current, holds open circuit voltage below 15 V and operates from -20 C to 85 C. Before fitting, check the AC output of the stator, replace any burned or corroded connectors, check and repair any melted wiring, and apply hi-temp dielectric grease to all connectors. Battery condition is extremely important - no voltage regulator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Risk of electric shock: disconnect the battery before servicing. All item pictures are accurate, so if in doubt, compare this item against your original part.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is any modification needed to fit this regulator?
No. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement with a single five-pin plug and 72 mm fixation hole spacing, and no assembly is required. Compare it against your original part if you are unsure - the item pictures are accurate.
What is included in the box?
You get the voltage regulator rectifier and the opposite connector for the main harness side. That connector is supplied because the original is so frequently melted, corroded or defective, and a poor connector is a major cause of repeat electrical problems.
How do I tell whether my old regulator has failed?
Measure charging voltage at the battery - a working system should reach at least 14.5 V plus or minus 0.5 V. Persistent flat batteries, overcharging, or scorched connectors at the regulator all suggest the unit has failed. Test the stator AC output too, and remember that no voltage regulator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery.
Can it handle a high output charging system?
Yes. The unit is rated to a maximum charging current of 50 A / 500 W with an improved heat sink over the original part, holds open circuit voltage below 15 V and runs from -20 C to 85 C.
